“Eagle Portrait” – 16”X 20” I wanted to do a portrait of the Bald Eagle in a way that showed it’s power without it being in flight. At the time I did this eagle portrait, I was studying Rembrandt intensely and did many dark paintings with strong lighting. Eagle’s eyes are so piercing, almost hypnotic, with that brow giving them a menacing look.
