“Ghosts” – Timber Wolf – 30”X 40” Ghosts. That’s what I think of Timber Wolves. Apparitions you occasionally see in the northern forests of Wisconsin. They appear, then disappear just as quickly, leaving you wonder if you really saw anything or not. Their camouflaged coats have such interesting patterns. The model for this painting was a half-tame alpha male named Boltar, that lived with others at the Timber Wolf Preservation Society. He was such a beautiful example of a wolf. Eventually there will be more wolves added to this painting, each one less prominent than the one in front of it. Actually the entire painting will be filled with them but most, like the real animal they represent, will go unnoticed.
